Black gunge and underperforming pump

Your whining over who provided me with the crucial piece advice of suggests to me that is you that emotionally over invested in this forum.
Not at all .... whining .... :ROFLMAO: I haven't whined over anything in 40 odd years. Believe you me, if I was at all emotionally invested in this forum I would have gone psychotic by now, in the 10yrs odd years I've been here, given the huge amount of numpties, keyboard warriors and know it all's that visit theses places and talk some of the silliest stuff ever.

I only highlight it when certain posters thank 1 person when 3 people had supplied the same information, it's called online forum etiquette, manners and it is the same everywhere. It's nice to be nice.

When it comes to boilers (or most mechanical works TBH), strip out/down is really the same thing (take something apart) when it comes to investigating a pump (you take the pump 'out' of the housing when that specific component is stripped down (only really 2 bits to it), it simply means take it apart and take a look - as I said, it's all semantics.

Time to move on thanks.
