Hi All,

We're looking to lay a small area of block paving (10m sq) in our rear garden.

We have decided on a block (Marshalls Drivesett Deco Natural 110x110) and upon receving the samples have noticed that there are no spacers on the sides of the block to allow for a joint when laying, just an indent to show the laying direction.

http://www.marshalls.co.uk/homeowners/view-drivesett-deco-block-paving

Does anyone have any tips on how to lay these? Would butting them right up next to each other be an issue? The blocks are slightly shamferred and tumbled so I would have thought spalling would not be a massive issue (especially as it will only carry foot traffic), the tumbling would also allow a small amount of jointing sand to fall between them (maybe 1mm but not much more than that).

Don't really want to have to put spacers betwen every block so would appreciate any advice on laying?

Thanks

No just butt them, they are deigned to be laid like that.

As you say non rumbled blocks will almost always have spacer nibs to avoid spalling but its not an issue will rumbled.
