Hello

I have a double 13 amp plug socket which must be blanked off.
How please.
The socket has to be made safe as a cooker is being installed in front of it.

Thanks

You say it MUST be blanked off.

I presume the cooker doesn't actually cover the socket, and that the socket is worktop height and near where the saucepans go.

Typically you would connect the wires together in three separate 30 amp connector blocks. If the back box is metal you should earth that too.

Then fit a blanking plate. You may wish to fit a metal blank plate (which must be earthed) which wouldn't melt, though it probably wouldn't get all that hot anyway.

If you mean the socket is actually behind the cooker and not reachable then probably no need to alter it.

Or do you mean that it is at worktop level and you want to tile over it?

That raises a number of other queries.

Clarification of what you want, please!
