I'm knocking down a wall and removing the radiator completely so need to cut the pipework down so it's under the floor and blank off.

It's 10mm plastic, are pushfit blanking ends the best way to blank off and should I use pipe inserts prior to fitting the blank cap or would a compression fitting be best (not sure if this would be wise to use on plastic?)

If so any particular brand of pushfit recommended?

Inserts are required. They and the fittings should be the same brand as the pipe.

Compression can be used but an insert is also required with those, and the insert may be a different type to those used with pushfit fittings.

Using components from other manufacturers push fit systems is not recommended. Some may be compatible, others might not be.
