I would like to protect a couple of airbricks from water ingress. The airbricks are at ground level. Is there anything you'd recommend? I made a new paved area with gaps for plants and I used quite thick slabs up to the house, including where the ventilation bricks are. I did tilt the slabs slightly away from the wall but not enough. They are concreted in so I don't really want to move them. The problem only really happens when it's very wet and I can see some puddling this week.

It sounds as if the new path is too high and it may be above the DPC level which may lead to other problems with water getting above it.
You should really think about lowering your path

you could use air brick covers - https://www.active-products.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=97

Bit of a faf for odd days

or you could chop out the old air brick and add a flood one eg https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/37413048...7779&msclkid=a972c5c0dd0d18383b75a0563be144a4

You could just drill some holes down through the paving slab under the airbrick a let the water out so it does not pond.

You could chop out another brick and add another air brick and seal the bottom layer of holes so the the airflow remains the same.

Could they get away with filling in just the bottom row of airbrick holes. Wouldn't affect air flow too badly would it ?
