Hi

Anyone out there that can advise me on block paver pattern?

I want to have a 105 x 140 single size block pavers installed on my entire driveway set in a strecher bond, offset joints etc, with a 3 course border in 3 sizes.

Is there any issue doing this with strength etc? I'm being advised that herringbone is better, but I dont like that/.

Will be normal light traffic.

There is a theoretical advantage with herringbone, to avoid rutting by continually driving in the same place.

But in practice there is no difference to a well laid stretcher pattern - as long as it laid 90 degrees to the main vehicle use

Herringbone is crap though

Thanks guys.

The blocks will be at 90 degrees running east/west across the drive, and traffic will be north/south, so that means I'm OK.

The company laying them have a very good reputation and I've had to wait 4 months for them to fit me in, so I'm sure it will be OK. maybe they just prefer to do herringbone or circles cos its easier? , but anyway, I'm paying and I don't like it, so now I know its not an issue , stretcher its going to be.

Thanks again.
