Hi I've recently built myself a 4.4 x 3.6m block shed. I'm now at the point when it's time to stick the roof on.
The shed will eventually be rendered, so I'm going to have to leave a gap between the fascia and the blocks to take the render.
How much of a gap should I leave? I thought about overhanging the joists by 20mm then nailing an 18mm osb to the front of the joists as a sub fascia then using 9mm capping. Would that leave me enough room for the render?
Also, I'm not sure how straight the wall is. So when it comes to fitting the joists should I place the two end joists on first over hanging the 20mm and run a sting line across the face of the joists and butt the others to the line?
One last question. I'm using osb3 2440 x 1220 am I right in thinking I should do 16" centers?
Thanks
