Hello guys,

I recently removed a 3 flue chinmey breast from the ground and first floor. I'm now left with it in the loft. Can anyone make a recommendation on what to use to block off the 3 exposed flues? I thought about caps on the top, they seem pricey at about £20 each. I'm worried about how cold it might get in the loft also.

Any tips / Hints would be greatly appreciated

You should also consider that you now have a few 9" holes to let water in too.

£20 each sounds very reasonable TBH.

You could take off the pots and bed some slates over the holes but the pots would be a lot easier

Would the best solution be cap at the top and blocked at the bottom to minimise draft? Does it need to breath?

Thanks

James
