Blockwork finish at ceiling

I’m looking for some advice on finishing internal block partitions. I’ve seen ceilings boarded then blockwork finished up to it. What is the standard way of doing this? Noggins would be needed to give plasterboard fixing if done differently?

I always liked to fit noggins around the edges to support plasterboard. Stops the flex...
Your block wall won't be a supporting wall?
