Hi

I have a BMW 3 series coupe - E46 with electic seats.

Yesterday I noticed that the driver's seat had stopped moving back and forward - all other movements were ok.

I have looked under the seat and looking at the cable into the motor it looks as if it has been trapped somehow and been damaged and partially cut.

I am somewhat upset about this and concerned that it will cost me a fortune to fix. Has anyone got any ideas/experience in relation to this.

Thanks

Oliver

First of all, you need to rejoin and insulate the broken/damaged wires.

The fuse for the drivers seat operating switch should be fuse No.65 in fusebox No 1 , located in the glovebox.(ref. Autodata)
