BNC cable Maximum lebgth

Hello guys.

I am about to buy a CCTV kit. One of the cameras will be about 36 to 40 metres from the VDR.

Can anyone tell me the maximum length allowed from camera to VDR, please.

Depends on quality of the cable you use , 100/200m with copper cable

quality cable 100M to 200M, some systems claim they can go more than double this distance, but haven't ever put it to the test.

Yes as above always use quality copper cable.

Also depends to some extent on the quality of the equipment at each end of the cable and the format if tha image data being transmitted along the cable.
