The flexible 75mm air duct tube inside my Potterton Statesman oil boiler has split. It's made of wire reinforced palstic. Is there any reason why I should not replace it with flexible aluminium ducting which is a lot cheaper than a replacement tube from Potterton.
Thanks
Mike

Well its not the official manufacturers part so officially you should not replace it with anything except the genuine thing!

In practice I am sure it will function perfectly! Even though you should not be using it!
