Hi

Our boil (a Riello / Sime) has been tripping out the electric to the sockets and after investigation we have found heavy condensation when we removed the top from the boiler, this was also getting into the temperature guage so we assume that this is causing the electrics to trip, what would be causing the condensation ? and suggestions on how we can cure the problem ?

Without inspecting it its difficult to guess.

First suspect is water entering the flue.

Are you running the boiler in normal domestic heating use without any short cycling?

There could be an internal leak inside the boiler.

Hi Tony

The boiler is running fine, yesterday for example we had 4 hours running, the it tripped with condesation in the temp gauge and on the lid.

Would a blocked flue cause it ?
