hi my boiler has stop working today. No flame no signal at all (no ligths on even the thermostat it's off)is like if it were not conected to the main but in fact it's conected, I changed the fuse and still death.
any suggestion please.
many thanks

1. Which boiler is it?

2. Do you have a programmer/controller separate to the boiler?

potterton e100 combi the controller is on the same boiler but yesterday the watch stop working and today no ligths at all

Bottom of the boiler, two screws on the plastic bottom cover, losen these and push the front metal casing upward. Careful to catch the plastic lower case as it will drop forward. Inside on the plastic lower case, left hand side, remove the screws, lift off white cover, green pcb! Fuse is in a black plastic clip positioned at the rear on the board. If it`s blown you may have a fault on one of the boiler components. If you`re lucky it`ll just be the fuse. Good luck, and merry xmas.

Modulation board burnt out top left corner.. may look ok check rear of board for dry joint

My friend, also called David, had the PCB fail on his Potty boiler this morning.

He then discovered his Potty insurance had expired on the 1st December but he had not been reminded to renew. He will be calling them tomorrow and then coming over here to raid our stock as he is with his parents today and so not cold.

It seems that Potty may not be so keen on renewing insurance cover on older boilers?

Yes when I go to do anual serivce on Alpha Ocean's I'm thinking to myself Alpha are brave offering cover on boilers this old, but you know what they are great old work horses. I just can't believe how good the flue gas analysis is.

Many thanks for all your help. I have founded the problem. "fuse death"
