Hi,

I have an Ideal combi boiler which (as of yesterday) doesn't heat anything up. It fires and makes all the right noises as you'd expect, but the radiators don't get hot, and neither does the tap water.

We had a knocking pipe a few weeks back but that subsided. Could it be an air problem? I haven't tried bleeding it yet as I don't have a key.

Cheers.

The heat is going somewhere or the boiler would be jumping up and down and going to overheat lockout

I've run the water continuously but it stays cold, and all the radiators in the house are cold :(

Check the pump is operating, the motorised valve(s) may be working but if the pump is stuck or failed it could give the symptons and the boiler fires when it cools down sufficiently.
