Boiler not firing up after changing from rwb2e to a rwb29

the picture shows the heating and water channels as on but the indicator lights don't 'seem' to be alight? or is that just the way the picture seems?

Then you need to get the multimeter out and start checking that there is in fact 230v at the pump, and the boiler.

Perhaps that loose wire was ment to be connected something as suggested by matt1e.
 
Thank you Mattie, it was a neutral, connected it and hey presto its firing up.
Just did not think it was for anywhere as it barely reaches the terminal.

Finally got some heat, thank you



Based on the above and your comment that you have no valves
Then I'd say the blue is the supply neutral for the boiler
Are you sure it wasn't connected?
