We have an older type Baxi Solo boiler & suddenly the boiler will not ignite & the ignition button is not solving the problem either. As our flats are being renovated on the outside there are plumbers, roofers & builders constantly working. The problem with the boiler has happened coincidently with plumbers & roofers removing the roof & a lot of debris falling. Could debris have got into the square flu & be the cause of the boiler not igniting.

What Baxi is it ?
It may have a pilot - if so, Can you see the pilot light lit ?

If its fan flued check the scaffolders havn't put a kick board over the flue outlet
