My boiler is a Baxi Solo 2PF.The fan LED Keeps going on and off, then all of a sudden the pilot ignites and the boiler fires up.Its a very noisy operation until it kicks in. Any ideas as to what is causing the problem? :(

Noisy?
Do you mean a relay clicking in and out? or the fan actually starting and stopping? or what?
Possibly the boiler is failing to sense the correct pressure in the flue (via the air pressure switch). This is CORGI territory.

The fan does run but then stops as the relay clicks in and out. What does the relay do? Will it be expensive to repair? Thanks for the comments

A few circuits interlock with clicks, and there are several reasons why the lighting sequence can get disturbed. Might just need a clean by a corgi, but, if eg your fan's sticking, it'££ be expensive.
