At the present my Wocester Combi boiler has a standard set of controls on it. My house has a standard BG thermostsat in the hall. If we wish to advance the setting to get the boiler on out of the set times we currently have to go up to the boiler to do this.

Can I get the standard thermostat changed for one that has a facility to to do this instead? I think I have seen them but am not too sure if it is a complete rewire by an engineer or just a change using the existing thermostat wiring.

I do not have any intention of trying this myself, by the way.

Thanks for that. How does this effect the programmer on the boiler? The is situated upstairs. Unfortunately, we did not think of the this situation when it was installed so have to keep on going up stairs to override the timer.

Just leave your boiler programmer on constant/24hrs if you cannot remove it.

Try looking at the Honeywell CM927. About the best and easy to use at present.
