Dear all I am hoping someone could shed some light on an issue I am having with my heating system, I had to replace 2, 2 port motorised valves 1 was a honeywell (controls central heating) the other a sunvic. this was due to the boiler remaining on and the only way to stop it was to switch off the power.
Now they have been replaced the on/off side for the water and heating is working fine, however the pressure was set to 1 bar.
The heating came on to bring the house up from 15.5 degrees to 18 degrees however I noticed the boiler pressure hit 3 bar and in the red.
I emptied out some water to drop the pressure to 1 bar and put the heating back on, it rose to 2 bar with about 20 minutes. I don't ever remember it going up this high before.
My question is, could the actuators I replaced have directly effected the boiler pressure?
What could be causing it and how can I remedy it?
