I bought a new bulid house in October, and have just found out the boiler pump has and still is running 24/7 instead of switching on and off as and when, because it has been wired up incorrectly.

Firstly is something nasty about happen to my pump? is this unsafe?

When they eventually fix it (probably will take some time!) should I be asking for the pump to be replaced? will this have done a lot of damage in this time?

any views appreciated!

Thanks

A pump running 24/7 will not do any significant damage - But will wear the pump out quicker (Obviously)...

What boiler have you got; you'll probably find the fault is associated with an over-run thermostat or timer that will need to be replaced.
