We are considering changing our boiler as our Ideal Response combi (which has worked well and being trouble free for nine years before some of you joke about it) had constant problems during the winter. An Ideal was chosen at the time of installation due to limited space. Our present engineer suggests a Vallant condescensing boiler, but these being much larger boilers will limit the area of worktop we can use in the kitchen even more. He doesn't recommend Ideal or Glowworm (which would fit better into the tight space) and I just wondered whether anyone had any comments. We have discussed changing the site of the boiler, but as was the case last time we had a new boiler (using a different engineer) it seems to be in the best place for the property.
