Hi all.

Hope it's ok to ask this question here.

I have an Ideal ISAR comi boiler that needs replacing. It's located on the kitchen wall. I'm wanting a straight swap out, this one off and a new one in its place.

Ive looked at boilers online and see I can get a decent one for around £700 - £800. It's a small 3 bed, 1 bathroom house with 8 rads.

What approximate cost should I expect to pay to have it installed and probably a system flush?

British gas engineer who was out repairing said roughly £2200 but someone else would need to come and survey first.

They have also said parts for this boiler are not made anymore but they have some spares left. Is he talking bs?

Thanks Billy.

Plenty of spares available for an Isar, although whether they're worth repairing is a different matter!

What do you class as a "decent" boiler?
