Boiler Replacement

I have had a couple of quotes for replacing an Ideal WLX RS60 boiler and both quotes recommended replacing the 22mm piping between the boiler and tank with 28mm piping, is this necessary. Also one of the quotes included replacing the tank which is around 10 years old, is this necessary.

replacing it with what? What boiler is being quoted for? Are you sure its the flow and returns and not the gas pipe? Do you have a gravity HW system at present?

28mm is pretty big for the F&R on a 18kw boiler, are you sure?
