Anyone who says a new boiler wouldn't save them money/fuel is a luddite. The science/technology is well proven and although the amount saved will vary a 32 year old boiler is well past its best and it's heat exchanger will probably burst on christmas day; you won't be gloating then.
Fact is a top of the range modern boiler, correctly installed is very, reliable; I would expect the first 5 yrs to be fault free provided it's serviced correctly.
Do those with very old boilers still have balck and white tv's, single glazing, landlines but no mobile phone etc etc?
It's called progress I believe.![]()
I'm saying if you put an identical sized boiler alongside mine, the gas consumption will be no better and must likely more.![]()
please explain how a band a boiler would use more gas for the same heating load as your old boiler; I'm all ears.
