Boiler will not always ignite.

Do you mean a relay clicking in and out? or the fan actually starting and stopping? or what?
Possibly the boiler is failing to sense the correct pressure in the flue (via the air pressure switch). This is CORGI territory.

failing that you could always resort to getting it serviced
The fan does run but then stops as the relay clicks in and out. What does the relay do? Will it be expensive to repair? possibly pcb faulty , is the fan noisy makes a metal grinding noise
