Hello.

I have recently filled up our tank after running out of oil but even after pressing the reset button numerous times it still continues to lock out. (it does this with both hot water and heating). I have adjusted the valve on the water inlet pipe so the pressure gauge is at 1bar. even after this the boiler will not fire up. Are there any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

also outside, we have a tigerloop fitted. usually when the boiler is operating fine, this is almost full but since we ran out of oil it did not fill up. Could this be a reason the boiler is not working? if so, how can I fix this?

Probably best to call an oil engineer to vent the fuel line and restart the boiler it is sometimes necessary to replace the oil filters due to sludge, on other occasions a Vacuum pump is required to pull the oil up to the Tiger Loop
do not continue to press the lock out reset button as you could damage the burner's oil pump which will add around £150 to the bill!
