Hello everyone,

Re-Baxi 80e

I have just changed seals etc in my diverter valve, now it won't fire up.
Not sure if any water got near pcb.
Green power light on, and neon flame flashing.
How do I test are know if it's pcb?
Also cannot hear pump is this because not fired up?

Thanks,

David.

Do you get either of the demand lights or fault lights when you turn on HW or CH?

Sorry if I am stating the obvious but have you reset the boiler ?

Hi yes I have power down completely, and reset a few times.

On couple of occasion it has tried to fire up but comes to nothing.

Any suggestion!!

David.

have you pulled the ignition wire out whilst working on diverter , will look like its still in place but its not pushed home fully both

Could you have inadvertantly turned the gas off and not put it back on again ?

When there is a demand for heat the pump should start.

It does sound like water on the PCB.

This model is very badly designed and its very easy to get water into electrical parts.

A professional knows all about this and takes the trouble to cover it all up!

Hairdryer time!

Don't go buying a new pcb just yet. Isolate the boiler and one at a time take the connections off the pcb (take a photo first in case you get lost) flick any water out and dry connections with soft cloth/hairdryer. Give that a go first (pcb aint cheap and if boiler plugs are still wet it may blow the new one) make sure everythings bone dry and try again. Patience is the name of the game.
