Boiler won't fire up

Sponsored Links
Hello all,

Could anyone answer, I have just changed my PCB on my baxi 80e.
Works fine BUT my control dials seem to be playing up, what I mean is radiator dial virtually off and radiators are red hot.
When I fitted board do I need to have the dials in virtually off positions?

Thanks,

David.

Uh oh

replacement PCBs out of the box may, and often do, require adjustment when fiitted to the boiler to achieve safe operation. Specialist knowledge + specialist tools. Hence the advice to employ a Gas Safe engineer to fix any problem internal to the boiler, even if apparently "electrical"

Hi All,

Does anyone know what tool I need to take off the bye big nut that goes into diverter valve, the one with the 2 grub screws.

Must be like box spanner.

Thanks,

David.

Saturday your boiler was "working fine" now you want to dismantle the diverter valve. What symptoms are you getting now?

Hi Micky,

I need to change seals and pistons etc in diverter valve, as when I switch my DHW on. Piston for CH sticks.

So what am saying is switch tap on for hot water and my rads heat up same time.

But can't get nut off front the one with grub screws in that you put diaphragm onto.

Thanks,

David.

Did you not refurb the diverter just a week ago?

Hi Micky,

I only managed to get top piece done, as couldn't take this nut off and didn't want to damage it. Had to put it back together so family had hot water. Well I mean warm to cold.
But we hard lot in northeast lol.

David.
