Boiler Won't Run After Drain Down

Thanks again for all the help and suggestions.

Managed (hopefully) to get it all sorted today.

Ended up draining down the whole system (although it turned out there was still a lot of water in some of the rads). Refilled from the F&E tank, bled all rads (14 in total), bled them again then fired it up. Boiler cut out quickly showing up a fault code indicating "too much resistance". More head scratching then realised I'd forgotten to put head (actuator??) back on the three port valve (had taken it off to see if spindle was turning freely). Put that back together, fired up again and managed to get heat in half the radiators. Shut them off then bled the cold rads again one by one and eventually managed to get them all heating nicely together.

Best part of 8 hours for two of us to get it sorted. Never again :)

Cheers
