Currently my boilermate has the hot water linked with no control, I'm going to change this as I'm not at home for days at a time sometimes.

When I am around I wondered if it's worth closing the water connection only when the heating is on to have hot water for shower in the morning- tepid/ warm water is fine the rest of the day. I'd think this is more efficient than running the water for a few hours in the morning on its own?

I also wondered, when the water link is broken/ off, does water still get heated if the heating is running?

Got the manual thanks, disconnected the right connections...doesn't explain the PCB logic in the manual and just wondered what thoughts were on best way to run it. I know they tell you to leave it on, but I'm away for a week at a time sometimes, other times I'm the only one in house so don't need too much hot water.
