Using 75mm metpost bolt down brackets on top of wall that is around 1 metre high and has flat coping stones on top, I'm using 90mm anchor bolts, the trouble is when ive drilled out the holes, the hammer vibration of the drill makes the coping stones that have metposts on them have loose. Question is will i be able to chip away at some of the mortar and replace with quick set mortar or will i have to take the whole coping stone up and start again? I would prefer the first option as fence is nearly complete. :?:

I'm only a DIYer, but i would suggest you need to take them off and do the job properly. Plus i would suggest your bolts go well into the brick or stone beneath the coping stones.

How are you securing the bolts btw?
