Never used befor, When would this be used Seen it mentioned in another post regarding a backing for skirting boards if the plaster beneath has pulled away? Is it the same as Hardwall?

This is the official version;

but it’s also good for patching & binding old scabby walls, where the skirting has pulled the base coat off (as youve seen), to fill over steel/plastic cable capping after a re-wire, as an initially base coating to fill out heavy Artex patterns prior to skimming; best for low suction backgrounds & patching but can also be used on high suction backgrounds with the right prep. Is quiet soft when set.

No:

used a base coat for high suction backgrounds but will suit most; say new block walls in an extension but sand/cement render is cheaper & in some ways better; dries very hard.

What did you have in mind :?:

Thanks for that Richard, no I haven't anything in mind, but being a newby to plastering I still have a lot to learn. At the present time my jobs have been straight forward.
