im having a room plastered, after the backing(thistle) bonding was done, an hour later it was skimmed over. the other side of the wall wont be skimmed till tommorrow now.
the question is if i bonded a area of the wall today(using thistle bond coat) and am skimming it tommorw, can i skim straight on top, or should i pva again, or just soak with water?

If you're coating (bonding) a wall today, and you want to skim it tomorrow, it will have a lot of suction,, so you will have to pva it again,,, let it dry,, then pva again and skim while it is still wet/tacky. You could give it a coat of pva now/tonight,, then a second pva and skim while wet/tacky tomorrow.

Roughcaster.
