I kid yeah not.

A mate of mine rang me tother day.

Plastic incomming and all plastic installation pipes = do I need to bond?

It would not be as funny as he wasn't one to state Part P is a load of XXXXX

I served mee time years ago, I do not need to prove I can keep up!

Mind Boggles!

He also has no test gear,
can't find broken rings,
etc etc I could go on - but he says "Part P is ridiculous!"

OK Part P can't cure it all but maybe, just maybe, it was a step in the right direction of attempting to cure a problem that DID EXIST

I'm afraid it's true
Along with a load of other daft questions and myths some "electricians" come out with.

"An RCD only has to work 5 times" is another example

Between us we could probably fill a few pages of such urban myths
such as rewireable fuses are illegal.

Trouble is a lot of so called electricians are spouting them and at the same time decrying Part P which at least would ensure they take a regs course and have access to decent test gear

like the one man band who thinks he is no longer liable for his poor work 'cos he is no longer in business nowadays.

If I killed someone then 18 months later I could not claim immunity because I've stopped being a murderer 12 months ago ("I'm not a murderer anymore!")
