Hi
I've just bonded a wall which will be tiled ffor a shower enclosure. I've read you shouldn't tile onto bonding but should skim it first. But I was wondering is this still necessary if I am going to paint the wall first with aquaseal tanking paint before tiling?

Honestly I would speak to the manufacturer regarding this than relying on an online forum as different people may of had different experiences mate.

Its best not to tile onto a skim finish esp. on a wet wall. Esp. with the large tiles used nowadays.
I've never had problems tiling onto any kind of solid plaster backing, although I wouldn't recommend it for a wet wall.
But if the bonding is in place, & you intend to tank it then go ahead and tile.
