there are those of us who might want to make a few things now and again, but not enough to warrrant a shed full of routers and table saws etc..
it would be nice if there was a place available where we could book say half a day to go and rip and rout some lumber for projects etc..

think it's a viable business oportunity?

a place where you could go to do some woodwork without having to splash out on the expensive tools?

one woodwork guy there as a supervisor to help out setting the machines up etc?

basically kind of like the school or college wood shop used to be..

Sounds a good idea, but i would imagine it would be a nightmare regarding health and safety and insurance etc

I would have thought that a posted disclaimer and a signed waiver exhonerating the owner of any liability should suffice... after all you're only really hiring the equipment, same as you would from a hire shop and a workspace same as any unit you can rent, albeit on a half day time line.

is the landlord responsible for what you do in his unit?, or the hire shop for what you do with their tools?
