O.k., still had the game cd in the drive. removed the cd and restarted the computer and it booted up correctly. It is still not reading cd's though. I know it is somewhat since it would not boot with the game cd in. Since this is a donated computer, I do not have any of the boot disks or anything else for it.
Booting issue solved but other still there
