Anyone else had this? Thought it was the drum bearings gone as the drum had a lot of play in it, so bought a bearing kit + drum seal BEFORE opening up the machine and splitting the tub. Any guesses from you experts out there? it wasn't the bearings, they were perfect for a 10 year old machine, the spider had cracks in all 3 arms, and the wobbling drum had eaten its way through the front tub and there was a big groove in the heater, which now leaked to earth. It would have been a scrapper if I hadn't managed to buy a donor machine that had a burnt out control board, but all else good. I've had a Hotpoint for 20 years had to replace bearings in it twice, but never the spider, mind you it's only 800 spin speed, if that's anything to do with fracturing the spider. Have since seen a YouTube vid of someone else with a broken spider, so is it fairly common on Bosches?
btw, Bosch bearing + drum seal + bolts kit going cheap...
