bosch dishwasher SHV55M03GB fills but does not stop until reaches overfill float which then empties small amount only to fill again and repeat. Will it be the solenoid valve and if so how can I test it? p.s. there is no leak into the drip tray and the machine empties correctly when the programme is cancelled. Many thanks.

Yeah that has been a problem, there is no serial no. etched onto the door (as shown on bosch website) so had to use no. on delivery note, which didn't have the last 2 no.'s Dishwasher came with fitted kitchen!!!

Doesn't make any difference if it came with a fitted kitchen or was flown in by a flock of crows....if it is under 10 years old it should have an E-number laser engraved on the door lip. The only way it could be missing is if the inner door has been replaced before you bought it.
Regardless of that the problem isn't the inlet valve....

Ha Ha "flock of crows" ORIGINAL.... Anyhow you were right it was the impeller jug. Found a couple more posts with same problem so cleaned the terminals and hey presto its working again. Well off to the shop now to need a chocolate fireguard and a pack of sky hooks. CHEERS!
