I am looking at a new Bosch Kitchen: Comments welcome on any of these.

I found

2 DWK85DK60B

The external duct kit is not included. Does one buy a kit specifically made by Bosch, or is there a generic kit available?
I found some install instructionsm but I dont understand German! Any link availabele?

Thanks

If it is on an outside wall One of these or similar https://www.toolstation.com/extractor-hood-ducting-kit/p44238?store=EB but you need to check the ducting is the correct size for the fan or buy an adaptor . I would also recommend you look for a kit with, or purchase seperately, a cowl external vent type rather than the the shutter type shown with this one
you mean like:

Thanks. Why do you say that: Do the flaps stick? With the cowl type, I am assuming that there would be a draught when the fan is off?

The cowl type are sturdier and flap around less during windy spells therfore make less irritating noise and are better at preventing back draughts.
I've never seen a cooker hood with a back draught shutter.
I meant a kit like this from S/FX not like the one in your pic. but yes that type of cowl

Thanks, FH. The code number brings up a "flappy" one, not a "cowl"? Do you mean it is better quality than the other?
But I do take your point about rattling.

If you don't have a problem with wind blowing across the face of vent then that sort should be ok. If you do then as I say the cowl type perform much better and if you can't find a kit that includes a cowl then I would buy and fit a cowl seperatly and not use the one with veins.
