Just thought i would share a problem i have just had with my washing machine.
We have a Bosch washing machine which we have been using for 3yrs now with no problems. The last 2 washes however do not seem to be spin drying. Evertime it gets to the spin cycle it just sets the timer back to 0.
After looking on various forums with various ideas as to what the problem could be, i got my tools out and had a look.
To cut a long story short the carbon brushes had worn out and were not making contact with the comutator.
These brushes are available from between £15 to £25 online. I managed to find some at a local shop for local people for £18.
Took the motor apart and cleaned up the comutator and fitted the new brushes, and fitted it all back together. Its been absoulutly fine so far spinning with no problems.
