Boss Adapator Replacement.

I have a boss adaptor as highlighted in the picture which is leaking.

Its been their for circa 20 years in the sunlight so I am guessing it has shrunk.

My main concern when I come to replace it is that the pipework entering is all solvent welded and i don't want to damage any of it.

Do you think i will have enough play to "yank" it out ?

Cut it where the blue line is, pull it out, change the adapter, then stick it back together with a coupler when you're done

+1 - If it's fitted into that boss properly I would be expecting to have to cut it too and then use a straight coupler to remake.

Try, (gently!) and see if enough wiggle room, if not, cut (carefully!) as above. Is it the Rubber type of Boss Adaptor? I cant tell from the pic, but if it's the solvent welded type with a socket to accept the waste pipe, then you wont remove the Adaptor!
