I have a 32mm waste pipe entering a strap boss and adaptor on the soil pipe under the floor in the bathroom (the boss and pipe are actually under the floor, just the waste pipe protrudes going up to the sink trap).

My question is is it possible to remove the waste pipe from the boss adaptor and replace it as I am putting in a new waste, trap etc.

I am concerned about damaging the soil stack beneath the floor (which is pretty difficult to access) when I attempt this.

Also unsure if any sealant etc is required for the adaptor?

Thanks for any advice.

Whether you can remove the waste pipe from the adapter or not largely depends on what kind of waste pipe it is. If it's push-fit then theoretically it could be removed, although I wouldn't recommend it as you might find that the joint doesn't re-seal if it's old. If it's solvent weld then the pipe will have been chemically bonded to the boss and will not be removable
