I bought the following boss strap from Toolstation and bought the rubber 40mm insert for it. But nowhere does it say if the strap is suitable plastic that will solvent weld or not. Because from what I remember only abs and certain plastics can be solvent welded. Therefore the bit that’s going to compress against the drilled hole I was thinking to solvent weld it but since I don’t know if this will take solvent weld, should I just used something like CT1 instead?

Afaik these can only be solvent welded onto soil pipes. I’ve always managed to solvent weld them onto push fit pipe

Needs to be solvent welded to the 110mm pipe, has locating lugs on the internal face to locate it in the hole cut in the soil pipe. Rubber Adaptor is used to provide a flexible joint for the incoming waste pipe. ABS and PVC are the common plastics used in Plumbing that can be solvent welded.
