Hi
Ive got a Boulter Camray 5 wall mounted oil boiler.

Riello RDB burner

Two pipe system (nipple in pump) Tiger loop.

Problem is that the oil isnt being sucked into the tiger loop. Ive checked the filter and strainer both clear. Oil gets up the the tiger loop but it wont maintain its self.

There is oil at the pump but also quiet a bit of air. There is the 'wash cycle on the pump and some pressure, but then the burner goes to lock out as it does not fire.

There is 3/4 oil in tank.

Any ideas?

Are the flexible hoses in good condition a small leak will suck in air without any oil spilling out!

Have you checked the vacuum reading with a vac gauge? if all is well there should be a vac reading of around -0.2 bar if no vacuum at all I suspect air is leaking into the fuel system somewhere

Tiger Loops can fail as well!! ;)

Is the solenoid coil working? If the pump does not reach pressure, then the coil may have failed. Also, what primary pressure are you getting? If not 50psi, you may have a suspect pump.

Hi Thanks for the replies

Ive changed the tiger loop as the float inside was sticking. Ive put a replacement fuel pump on and changed the solenoid coil.

Still does the same. Flexi fuel hoses look fine !!

Going back today; As the fuel tank was low, and have had it refilled.

Will let you know what happens
