We have just moved in to our new house. The boiler is a classic 70/90a. the heating is workign fine but we have only had it on in short period as the oil is low until it get delviered.
the problem we are havign is not getting any hot water from the central heating. any ideas here> we are now wondering if it doesn't even heat the water?!?

thanks for any input

Does the timer for the boiler have 2 modes (CH & HW)?
If it does there may be a control fault.
If not you may have a hot water heater separately heated by an immersion heater or other appliance.
If you do have a hot water cylinder does it have 2 or 4 pipes connected to it?
2 = immersion only heating.
4 = boiler or possible heating from secondary heat source ie aga or stove.
Perhaps a phone call to the old home owner or estate agent could answer a lot of questions! Go on, don't be to proud :oops:
