Hey all, we've just had some central heating pipes moved and we now want to box them in. Here's a picture of what we have so far:

what we want to do is to basically extend that section of wall by approx 2inches to hide the pipes with studwork/plasterboard and make it look like there isn't anything there at all and to refit new coving too.

My question is do i need to put anything around the pipes or use any specific type of plasterboard?? These pipes get hot thats all hence my question. Oh, and the plasterboard is going to be as close to the pipes as we can unless there has to be a certain distance from pipes.

Got a plasterer arranged to skim and do the rest of the rooms plastering :)

Many thanks!
Markus :)

Not to worry guys! Didnt realise one of my facebook friends was a plaster and builder!

Its not gonna be a problem using standard plasterboard! :)
