The teenager, who was shot in the leg when he was 13 years old, had also been arrested in November on suspicion of possessing heroin with intent to supply. He was later released without charge.

"On November 17 2008, Greater Manchester Police sent a letter of concern to Giuseppe Gregory's mother.
"It highlighted officers' concerns about the people he had been associating with."
Giuseppe Gregory was shot in the head outside the Robin Hood pub in Stretford, Manchester, on Sunday and later died in hospital.
