Brackets

I am trying to find a "bracket". It's a piece of thin metal with holes. It can be cut to appropriate length. I need it to repair my headlights...What do they call the "bracket" here in the usa...they keep showing me the bookshelves brackets...thanks in advance

I have seen a similar product in the UK called Band-it.

Are you thinking about plumbers tape? I sure hope not to repair headlights!

I use galvanised banding, available on a roll, and easily cut with a set of gilbows(tinsnips). This is available in different thickness's, dont know if its available in the usa though.
